Mongolia has 71.1 million head of livestock the preliminary results of the annual livestock census reveal. All the animals graze freely in the vast steppes of Mongolia. This represents a reason why Mongolian wool of sheep, yaks, and camels and goat cashmere is so famous in the world.
Goat Cashmere –  It’s the world’s 2nd largest producer of cashmere fiber. It is well known among luxury brands and is sold to the biggest names in fashion. It is rightly called the best cashmere in the world. What makes the cashmere especially valuable is the thinness of the fiber and the length.
Camel wool – The Mongolian camel wool is elastic, durable, has a crimped fiber, which contributes to getting loose fluffy and elastic yarn, as well as an increase in the period of wearing. Due to the good elasticity of the camel wool products, it doesn’t wrinkle and retain a good appearance for a long time.
Yak wool – Mongolian Yak is one of the world’s rare animal that inhabited in green zone 2000-4000 meters high mountains. Yak woolen fiber “Khuuvur” grows on Yak’s skin from September to November. 80% of the yaks are dark blue colored, which exist only in Mongolia.
Sheep woolMongolia produces almost 2,000 tonnes of wool per year. 95 percent of the fiber is thick, so it is very warm and wear-resistant.
