Straps of Mongolian Yurt

Outer straps. There are three straps for the top, middle and bottom. They encircle and tighten after the outer cover is placed.

Inner straps. Although it might be difficult to see in the picture above, there are two straps, for the top and bottom, that encircle the lattice wall.

Side straps. There is one side strap that tightens over crown cover.

Khayavch. Its main purpose is to regulate the Mongolian yurt temperature. When it is removed, wind flow in the yurt increases significantly. When it is on, it keeps warmth, or, coolness inside the yurt.

The Wooden structure of Camping Yurt

Door. Made from felted heavy duty canvass material. Camping Yurts Door Frame extractable in 4 pieces.

Lattice wall. The number of lattice wall determines the size of the Portable yurt. Camel hide cut in narrow straps is the most suitable material to securely join wood to make the lattice wall. Our lattice walls have 2 parts(Lower and Upper) which connected during assemble.

Rafters. Depending on the size of the Camping yurt, there are from 36 to over 200 rafters to join the lattice wall and the crown wheel. Our rafters deploy in 2 pieces to save space. Consisted from 41 pieces.

Crown wheel /compression ring/skylight. In our Portable yurt, we modified crown wheel into 8 pieces. Each pieces connected with flexible steel wire.

It was more than just a Traditional Mongolian Yurt, haven’t expected this would fit in my car. Now I’m finally able to travel my favorite camping destinations without trailer. You will get learn fast after your first assembling of camping yurt. A+ quality

Erected our yurt on the 11/03/2019, blown down by the 12/03/2019!!
How do you stop these yurts from being blown down?
Ours located on the West coast of Scotland, surely you get strong winds in Mongolia?

Thank you for your feedback. Sorry to hear that it’s blown.
Can you please send us your broken parts picture? We can send you the replacements free of charge. Yurt’s wooden frames are not that fragile, the only exception is if you store it in too humid or sunny, hot place. These environments can affect wood quality. To avoid this, you need to take out everything from the bags. As on your email, you stored the yurt for 3 months after received.

Very good, happy to have a ger that can storage in small size. But the center pole is not very straight.
