The warship structure of Great Mongolian army is usually organized in several different units such as head group, main group, left flank, right flank, and tail group. Each of these units had their own assignment. The left and right flanks are specified to protect the main group from sudden attack. The army travel structure is organized in four units as guide group, head group, main group, and tail group. This unit was responsible for protecting the army from attack from behind. The horses were protected-their – necks, chests, and sides were covered in leather armor. Their task was to completely defeat any remaining enemies. They wore heavy armor and helmets made of iron like the main group. They dealt a final and powerful blow to the enemy, protected the main group, and working closely together. The army was strategically well-planned.
