This traditional saddle was used by Khalkha men and women, in the Central part of Mongolia, but as time passes this type is becoming more popular among population due to its decorations and adaptation to body figure of nomads.
In fact, Mongolian traditional saddle was designed for horses to move faster largely based on our way of riding the horse, sit to lead and stop the horse. Comparatively, Mongolian saddle has high-raised pommel and cantle stabilizing the rider and protecting him or her from forward and backward falls, considered to be safe. The small size of the seat is perfectly adapted to the short back of Mongolian horses; western saddles are still too large and they wound their back.
Love The Saddle. What a conversation piece. Please Thank the people who made it.
